Pink. What a great color to make a non-traditional card with. Pink cardstock was included in MFT’s Snowflake Splendor card kit. It was the first color I decided to work with. I die-cutted away and assembled snowflakes for a couple of hours. When it was time to make the card, I knew I wanted to keep it simple, but elegant. I chose white cardstock and my three favorite snowflakes. I pulled out two pink Distress Oxide inks and started blending on Bristol Smooth Paper. I spritzed with a little water the dabbed the water off with a paper towel. I then used a ruler and drew a line to make sure I had a slant that I liked. After cutting, I used a We Are Memory Makers embossing folder to add texture to the white cardstock, and used glitter spritz to make it shine. I stamped a Sizzix Christmas Wishes stamp with Versamark, and melted white Avery Elle embossing powder over it. I cut a small strip of silver glitter paper and used it help adhere the pink and white paper together. I used a MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle die to cut down to size. I adhered the front to white fun-foam and attached it to the grey card base. I used a MFT pink envelope, and Hero Art Christmas stamps to decorate the envelope. I love the colors, the texture, the style. I’m glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and picked a color that turned out to be so much fun to work with.
Thanks for stopping by. I will have more Christmas cards to share soon! Be sure to check back. Bye for now!
