Christmas Cards

Time To Start Christmas Cards!

My main focus these next couple months are Christmas cards. I have so many products I’ve been collecting for the past few months. One product that I am most excited about is the Sunny Studios Holiday Style Stamp Set.  There’s endless ideas to create with it. This is one project I did yesterday. Hanging Christmas ornaments off of branches.

I used a rainbow of ink colors from Altenew. These ink pads worked like a dream. This stamp set is the easiest set I’ve ever worked with. I made 11 of these cards in 4 hours. I used a Stamping platform, and used the stamping guide found on Sunny Studios website. I decided on the colors for the ornaments, then I start Stamping.

I did these steps in a two hour period.

For the second half of the project time, I finished the branches and picked out sentiments. Once everything was stamped, threaded silver string to “hang” the ornaments using a quilting needle. I secured the string with adhesive, and used the largest frame from MFT’s A2 Stitched Rectangle die set 2 to crop the paper. I prepped the inside of the cards, using a sentiment from Altenew’s Holiday Wishes stamp set.  I mounted the card fronts onto black cardstock, then onto black craft foam for dimension. After adhering the cards together, I pulled out MFT red envelopes, and decorated them using Hero Art Christmas stamps.

Thanks for stopping by. I’ll be sharing a lot of Christmas Cards these next couple months, so keep a watch out for my next post!

  1. Wow! For someone who ‘just’ started cardmaking, you’ve nailed the shading and contrast on those baubles! Fabulous ‘batch make’ Christmas cards. What a fun and fabulous design!! Hugs, Wends xoxo

  2. These are so understated and yet so festive, I love all the layered stamping you did and my favourite bit has to be the silver tread, adds just that extra oomph and texture! Anyone would be happy to receive a card like that during the festive season.

    1. Thank you so much! I’ve already started my cards for this year. Staying way ahead of the game. 😍
