Simon Says Stamp came out with an beautiful selection of Christmas dies this season. After looking at each one, I treated myself to one die- this one. Pine Needle Wreath. It’s so fun and versatile. I decided I would stick to traditional colors for this card.
I picked red cardstock for the cardfront, and two shades of green shimmer paper for the wreath. First I die-cut the Wreath on the red cardstock. Then I cut two wreaths of each shade of green, separating the needles in little cups. I cut an approximate 4×4 square of Scor double-sided adhesive and adhered to the back of the red cardstock, exposing adhesive on the front.
This made it easy to adhere the first layer of needles. I used Multi Media Matte to attach the other layers.
I die-cut gold glitter paper with the Joy die by My Favorite Things and a bow from Memory Box for the top of the wreath. I stamped inside the white cardbase with a sentiment from Altenew’s Holiday Wishes stamp set. For a finishing touch, Gold and red Nuvo drops were added to the wreath, and a small ruby to the bow. This card turned out so charming.
I have a couple more ideas to do with this die. Be sure to check back soon to see more examples posted. Thanks for stopping by!
