Christmas Cards

Warmest Wishes

The newest Hero Arts monthly card kit was delivered yesterday. I was excited when I pulled out all the goodies. So many ideas came to mind… I started right away last night on a card.

I stamped the large snowflake onto white cardstock using Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink. I cut it out with the coordinating ornament die. I added a silver string to the top. On a sheet of Bristol smooth paper, I blended Spruce Iced Distress Oxide ink along the top and bottom edges. I sprayed with water, then dabbed with a paper towel to pick up some of the ink. I cut the paper with the largest My Favorite Things double-Stitched frame and set aside. I die cut 3 more frames to stack for dimension.

Next I stamped a sentiment on black cardstock with versamark ink and heat embossed with Averey Elle white embossing powder. I trimmed and added it to the middle of the snowflake. I then assembled the card front. I hung the ornament in the frame, popping it up with foam tape. I used Scor tape on the frame, and adhered the card front to a Bazzill Peanut Cluster cardbase. A die cut bow from Pretty Pink Posh was added for the last touch.

I love how simple this card is. Now it’s time for the next card from the set. I’ll be posting again soon!

Thanks for stopping by.
