A bride-to-be asked if I could make a card for her to give to her groom on their wedding day this week. I was so honored to be asked. Her wedding colors are burgundy and blush. She also asked if I could include gold in some way. This is what I made.
I used 3 different Altenew stamp sets for the card. I started with Layered Laurel. I cut a 4.25×5.5 panel of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. I positioned the branch stamps on the paper in my stamping platform, and stamped with Vintage Sepia ink. I used red tones for the next three layers of leaves. I took the stamp with the least amount of leaves for both branches and stamped a second time with Versamark embossing ink. I poured gold embossing powder over the leaves and heat set.
I stamped a sentiment from the More Than Words stamp set, again with Versamark and gold embossing powder. I used a stitched rectangle frame to cut the stamped panel to size. I pulled out gold paint, added water, and with a paint brush flicked paint onto the paper. When the paint dried, the panel was matted on beautiful chocolate-Brown/bronze shimmer paper from Club Scrap.
I cut an A2 top folding card base using Neenah Solar white 110 lb cardstock. I stamped Happy Wedding from Altenew’s Vintage Roses stamp set with Vintage sepia ink. I adhered the card front to a fun foam rectangle for height, and attatched to card base.
I was excited to give her the card. When she saw it, she loved it. It took a couple hrs for me to figure out what and how I was going to make this card. The expression on her face made the time well spent.
Thanks for stopping by!
