We’ve had snow, rain, more snow, hail, and strong winds all throughout February. I’m ready for spring! I’m ready for T-shirt’s, capris, and sandal. I can’t wait to open our windows again, drive in the sunshine, and watch the garden grow. While I wait for that to happen, I’m getting a start on spring cards. These little flower pots are a good start.
All dies and stamps I used for this project are from Lawn Fawn. I started by diecutting the front panel with the Quilted Background die. I glued light weight white paper to the back of the panel. I then used the second largest die from the Outside In Stitched Rectangle set to cut out a window. (I did this four times with different colors of cardstock for four frames, and four small rectangles.) After putting foam tape on the back of the frame, I used my Misti to help me adhere the frame correctly onto the cardbase.
Next I used Little Flowers die set to cut flowers. I picked out a rainbow of bright colored paper scraps for the pots and flowers. I made little flower arrangements and backed them with foam tape. I used the smallest Fancy Folded Banners die to cut out banners. I stamped with several different sentiments from Rub-a-dub-dub and Wild For You stamp sets. I used twine to tie little bows around the pots.
It took a couple hours, but I was able to have enough die cuts to make 8 cards. These cards are so cheerful. I can’t wait to send them out.
