Hi friends! Today I’m on Drive By Crafts blog featuring these sweet little duckling cards. When I saw the preview of Lawn Fawn’s spring release, this Rub-A-Dub-Dub stamp set really stood out. As soon as it was in my hands, I knew what I wanted to do.
I made these cards assembly style. I used all the small stamps in the set to stamp the background, arranging them in groups in my Original Misti. I worked from the inside out to be sure not to have any gaps. I used MFT’s (My Favorite Things) Bubblegum cardstock and ink for the pink, and Blu Raspberry for the blue. The white I stamped on Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, and colored the images with Copic markers. Next, I stamped the bathroom scene. Again, Copic markers were used to color, and the coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut the images out. For the bubbles soapy look, I put a line of Art Glitter Glue on the top, stuck them in a jar of fine glitter, and set them aside to dry.
To assemble the card front, I used 2 Lawn Fawn’s Inside Out rectangle dies to cut frames out of the stamped backgrounds, Lawn Fawn’s Fancy Folded Banners Lawn Cut to cut out the banners, and Hero Arts White Embossing Powder to heat emboss the sentiment. I assembled the bathtub using Scrapbook Adhesive Foam Squares. I adhered the scene together, and attached the front to a top folding A2 size cardbase.
I’m so in love with how these cards turned out. I can’t wait to give them to expecting mothers!
