Happy Tuesday everyone! Today I’m so excited to share with you a special Mother’s Day Card. My daughter just turned one, and her grandma is a magical person to her. When Grandma walks in the room, no one else matters. It melts my heart. So I decided to make a special Mother’s Day card for Grandma.

I chose two stamp sets from Lawn Fawn: Toadally Awesome, and Happy Happy Happy Add-On Family stamp sets. I stamped all the characters from Toadally Awesome, and colored with Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils. I added eyelashes and blush to the frogs for a feminine look. I cut them out and set them aside. I then picked out the words from the Happy stamp set I wanted in my sentiment. I exchanged “happy” with “hoppy” From The Toadally stamp set. I used the grid sheet that came with my MISTI to line the words up straight. (One thing to mention here- one of my most used items in my craft room is my Lawn Fawn Stamp Shammy. I actually have three. If you don’t have one, I highly recommend you get one. They clean my stamps great, leaving no residue or lint behind.) On a trimmed down card front, I stamped the sentiment, then die cut the circle window. On another piece of white cardstock, I ink-blended Mermaid Lagoon and Shaded Lilac Distress Inks for the background. I assembled the scene together using Scrapbook Adhesives Foam Squares and Lawn Fawn Glue Tube. I stamped Hoppy on a piece of violet cardstock Using Nuvo Clear Mark Embossing Pad, and heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Purple is Grandma’s favorite color, so anywhere I could bring purple in, I did.
I am so excited to have my daughter Vera “sign” her name inside and give it to her Grandma. I know Grandma’s heart is going to melt.
