Honeybee Stamps

Hi everyone! So I was watching a Kristina Werner video (link here) on YouTube a few weeks back, and fell in love with Honeybee Stamps Shine On Stamp Set. I ordered it immediately, and waited excitedly for my Honeybee package.

This is my first card style I’ve made with this set. I used Copic markers to color the bottles, and then used NUVO Glitter Brush to make them sparkle. For the words, I used Nuvo Shimmer Powders to make shimmery backgrounds. I taped watercolor paper to a clipboard, then generously sprayed with water. I then gently tapped NUVO Shimmer Powder over the wet paper. I moved the clipboard back and forth to help the pigments move. I let the paper air dry, and loved the ending result.4EF72891-E8C0-4928-AE86-BF2756095039

I stamped the words Sparkle and Shine on the shimmer papers with NUVO Embossing Ink, and added Brutus Monroe Alabaster embossing powder before heat setting with my heat tool. I then used my MISTI to line up “YOU” and “&”. I stamped again with embossing ink, and used Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder for the purple card, and Brutus Monroe Gilded Embossing Powder for the Pink card. E4C7FECE-7BD5-4335-9E48-97C1B1037BC1

I trimmed the stamped card-fronts down with a stitched rectangle die from My Favorite Things, and attached the words with Lawn Fawn’s Tube Glue. I mounted the card-fronts onto DCWV glitter paper- silver for purple (purple is my Mother-in-Law’s favorite color) and gold for pink. I used SCOR Tape to attach them to A2 size top-folding card bases.

I already have them in stamped and addressed envelopes for some lovely girlfriends. Now on to the next design with these stamps…
