Heffy Doodle’s 1st Birthday Celebration Blog Hop

Hello friends! Thanks for joining me for this fabulous Heffy Doodle Birthday Blog Hop. There’s tons of inspiration today throughout the Hop showcasing the new June 2018 release. I have three cards to share with you using the adorable Party Palooza Stamp Set:

Card 1:

364D36E3-3B0D-46BA-921F-865EFF39E2E4

My first card is this fabulous birthday cake card. Oh the BLING!! It makes me soooo happy! I stamped the layered cake randomly on Copic-Friendly cardstock. I then masked off the top of the cakes and stamped again with the candle. I used Copic Markers to color the cakes and frosting. (Strawberry- RV13 RV21; Chocolate- E35 E37 E47 V12; Vanilla YR20 E21 BG23; Plates- W1 W3, C1 C3)

I picked out 3 different smiley faces and stamped the cakes with them. I trimmed the cardstock down and added double-sided adhesive to the back. With a fine-point metal tip, I applied liquid glue to the frosting. I sprinkled transparent glitter on the vanilla and chocolate cakes, and platinum gold glitter to the strawberry cakes. I added Crystal Glaze for shine to the candle flames, and set that aside to dry . Once the cardfront was dry, I adhered it to an A2 top-folding cardbase, and added the stamped and heat-embossed sentiment.

Card 2:

For this card, I kept it very simple. I used the balloon stamp to stamp 7 balloons in a random horizontal line. I stamped the sentiment, used a T-ruler and black pen to draw the strings, and then colored the balloons in a rainbow order. (Red- R29 R27 R17; Orange- Y17 YR16 YR07; Green- YG11 YG06 YG05; Blue- B00 B02 B05; Purple- V12 V15 V17; Pink RV04 RV13 RV21) I trimmed the cardfront down, and attached it to a top-folding A2 cardbase. For a finishing touch, I used a shimmer pen on the blue balloon, and added Crystal Glaze for shine. I then used Green Apple Crystal Drops for added color.

For my last card, I made a little scene. I stamped the party hats first. I masked them, then stamped the middle balloon. I masked that, and stamped the other two balloons. I added faces, then Copic colored them, using the above combos for pink, blue, and orange. Next I stamped the cupcake, masked off the top, and stamped the candle. I colored the cake vanilla, and the paper liner purple. (V12 V15) I drew lines on the cup, and shaded with Faber-Castell Polychromos #160. For the frosting, I used pencils again, #155, 153, 154. For the top icing dollop, I added liquid glue and transparent glitter. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment, and cut 2 thin strips of gold glitter paper for accents. After adhering everything together, I attached the cardfront to an A2 top-folding cardbase. I added Crystal Glaze to the flame for my finishing touch.

I had a lot of fun putting these cards together, and received a lot of approving high-fives from my supportive son. (He kept checking on my progress throughout the evening. It was so sweet.) I hope these cards have inspired you to create with this stamp set. Be sure to tag your own Heffy Doodle Cards on social media using #heffydoodle.
