Pretty Pink Posh June Blog Hop

Hello Crafty Friends! I’m so excited to be part of this 2-day Pretty Pink Posh June New Release Blog Hop. I’m such a huge fan of Pretty Pink Posh, and am always super excited for their new releases. I had so much fun creating with these new stamps and dies! Here’s 4 cards I’m sharing today:

Card 1:

My first card features the new School Friends Stamp Set and coordinating Dies. I cut a piece of white cardstock with the Stitched Notes frame die, and used the inside rectangle. I masked off the edges, then blended Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink for the sky. I sprayed a little water on the ink, then quickly dabbed the paper with a paper towel. I then sprayed glimmer mist on the ink for some extra texture. I stamped the grass stamp from Darling Dragonflies Stamp Set 3 times to make the ground, and colored the grass, as well as the boy and girl, with Copic markers.  I used the Darling Dragonflies Coordinating Dies to cut the grass out. I stamped the Smarty Pants sentiment (one of  3 sentiments included in the School Friends Stamp Set), and heat-embossed with clear embossing powder. I added the tiny hearts for my finishing touch.

I stamped the hearts with red ink, brushed them with a shimmer pen, die-cut them out, and topped them off with some Crystal Glaze for shine. I mounted the cardfront on red cardstock, backed it on fun foam for dimension, and added it to a top-folding A2 size cardbase.

Card 2:

For my second card, I die-cut red cardstock with the Stitched Notes Frame Die, using the outside frame, and attached it to a top-folding A2 size cardbase. I then die-cut white cardstock with the same frame, and used the inside rectangle to build my scene. I stamped the adorable little girl and stack of books from  the new School Friends Stamp Set onto Copic-friendly white cardstock, and colored them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating Dies to cut them out.  I then backed them with 3D Foam Squares. For the ground, I  die-cut a scrap of grey cardstock with the rectangle die, and cut the bottom inch off. I glued that to the white cardstock, then glued a thin strip of black cardstock to work as the baseboard. I stamped the sentiment, and added the books and the girl. The scene was a bit plain, so I decided to use the medium sized pocket from the Stitched Notes Die Set. I also used the cute apple stamp from the School Friends Stamp Set.

After coloring the apple, I used a foam square to attach it to the pocket, brushed it with a shimmer pen, and added Crystal Glaze for shine. I glued the white cardstock inside the red frame to finish the card.

Card 3:

For my third card, I used the Geraniums Stamp Set, coordinating Dies, and the word Hello from the Hello Shaker Die. On a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock, I stamped the flowers with Fired Brick Distress Ink, and the leaves with Mowed Lawn Distress ink. I used Zig Real Brush markers to color the flowers and leaves. On a piece of watercolor paper, I loosely painted on some turquoise shimmer color. I adhered the flowers in three layers, using low-profile and regular 3D foam squares. I die-cut the Hello Shaker Window four times, then cut the words out. I stacked the words together, brushed the top layer with a shimmer pen, added Crystal glaze, and let the word dry over-night.

Once completely dried, I added the word to the card front, as well as Sparking Clear Jewels. I adhered the cardfront to a top-folding A2 size cardbase.

Card 4:

For my last card I’m sharing today, I made a shaker card. On a piece of watercolor paper, I used a baby wipe to add Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide ink in an ombre effect, then sprayed with water. I quickly dabbed the water off with a paper towel, then sprayed the paper with a shimmer mist and set the paper aside to dry. Next I stamped three dragonflies from the Darling Dragonflies Stamp Set onto white cardstock, and colored the wings. I stamped the dragonflies again on vellum with embossing ink, and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die-cut the dragonflies out with the coordinating Dies, and used liquid glue on the vellum bodies to layer the dragonflies together. After making sure my watercolor paper was dried, I used the Hello Shaker Die to cut out the shaker window. I cut another shaker window out of purple cardstock that I had attached double-sided adhesive to. On the backside  of the watercolor paper, I attached a square piece of acetate to close the window. I flipped the paper over and attached the purple window onto the acetate. I added foam adhesive to the back of the cardfront, leaving the window open, and filled the window with Iridescent Heart Confetti Mix and 4mm Lavender Moon Sequins. I closed the window up with another piece of acetate, peeled the foam tape backing off,  and attached the cardfront to an A2 top-folding cardbase. I added the dragonflies to the cardfront with liquid glue, and finished off with a few Sparkling Clear Jewels.
