Happy Monday crafty friends! I have a Lawn Fawn Thank You Card to share with you today. Lawn Fawn has so many awesome stamp sets. Today I am using You Are Sublime stamp set and coordinating Dies.
I first started with making a background. I used Ranger Distress Oxide Inks and Ranger Distress Resist Spray. I sprayed the watercolor paper first with the distress spray, dried it with my heat tool, then ink blended a little bit with Mermaid Lagoon. I did another light coat of spray, dried it, then wiped the paper off with a cloth. Wherever the spray is at on the paper, the ink that is on top of it will wipe away. I used Crushed Pistachio as the last color layer, sprayed it again, and dried it. Instead of wiping the paper with a cloth, this time I wiped it with a baby wipe. the wet wipe made the background have a soft tone, and let the Distress Resist Spray spots shine. I trimmed the paper down to fit onto an A2 size top-folding cardbase. Using my MISTI, I stamped out images from the stamp set and colored with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut the images out. For the seaweed, I used paper scraps from my stash and the 2 seaweed dies from the Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card Ocean Add-on. I die-cut two small hills with light brown card stock, and sprayed one coat of Distress Resist Spray. I did a quick ink-blend with Vintage Photo Oxide Ink, wiped the paper with a cloth, and splattered Walnut Stain Oxide Ink mixed with water, using a paintbrush.
I popped the hills up with Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares, and then added the colored images. I stamped the sentiment with Nuvo embossing ink, and heat-set with Lawn Fawn white embossing powder. I glued it to the panel with Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, and added Tonic Morning Dew Crystal Drops as my finishing touch.
Lots of love and time went into this card. This was my first time using Distress Resist Spray. I highly recommend trying it out. The results are beautiful. And the stamp set… Lawn Fawn always makes the cutest stamps! I hope I have helped inspire you to create something new. Thanks for stopping by!
