Happy Thursday everyone! I have a couple adorable Avery Elle Polar Peek-A-Boo Pals Christmas cards to share today. I was super excited to get my hands on these stamps. I have the first Peek-A-Boo Pals set, and have made many cards with it. And now there’s a Christmas set? Yes Please!
Using my MISTI, I stamped the characters out twice, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out. For the background, I used Ranger Distress Oxide inks And Ranger Distress Resist spray. I tapped (unscrewed and used the bottle nozzle) Distress Resist Spray onto two trimmed panels of water color paper. After heat-setting, I did a quick chunky ink-blend of Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac. I wiped the panels off with a cloth (to get the ink off the Resist bubbles), then sprayed and heat-set again. I did three layers. The end result was a beautiful snowy background. I then used Avery Elle’s Three Star Die Set to cut out the windows, and sprayed the panels with shimmer spray to make them nice and sparkly. I used Lawn Fawn Glue Tube to glue the polar pals to the inside of the windows, then attatched the panels to white glitter paper with foam tape. I attached the panels to A2 size cardbases. I stamped out the included sentiment on black card stock with Lawn Fawn Embossing Ink, and heat-set with Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder. I trimmed it down, and used Scrapbook Adhesive 3D Squares to attach the words to the vertical card. For the horizontal card, I stamped with black ink onto white cardstock, used My Favorite Things Stitched Sentiment Strips Die to cut out the sentiment, and glued onto the horizontal card. My final touch was adding on the paws, hooves, scarves and hats, a few jewel embellishments.
These are the first of many Christmas cards to come. Have you started making yours yet? Let me know in the comments below.
Have a fabulous day!
