Hi crafty friends! I’m back with another pair of Christmas cards. Yep! That makes it 2 weeks in a row of Christmas inspiration. This week, I used Avery Elle: A Merry Little Christmas stamp set, along with a few fun dies.
My first step for these cards was the coloring. I stamped the characters out using my MISTI, then used Copic markers to color them. I chose colors that would compliment the magenta glitter paper I wanted to use. For the background, I did some ink-smooshing on two pieces of watercolor paper, using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I smeared the ink onto to my craft mat, sprayed it a couple times with water, then smooshed my paper into the ink. I did three layers, heat-setting in between layers. Once I was happy with the color and textures, I splattered white paint loosely for snow. For the scene background, I die cut two hills out of white glitter paper. I glued them onto the watercolor paper with Lawn Fawn Glue Tube. I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment with Lawn Fawn embossing ink and clear embossing powder, then added the characters using Scrapbook Adhesives 3D foam squares. I cut a frame out of the magenta glitter paper and added it to the panel, then attached the panel to a card base.
I used Avery Elle’s Wonky Circle Frame Die to cut the frame and scene for the bear card. I used pink striped paper from Lawn Fawn’s Really Rainbow Petite paper pack for the background. After attaching everything together, I stamped and heat-embossed a sentiment from Avery Elle’s Christmas Magic stamp set. I glued the panel to a card base, added the bear with foam squares, and finished off with some clear jewels.
Thanks for Stopping By!
