Hello crafty friends!  I am so happy to be part of Jane’s Doodles Inspiration Week at Drive By Crafts. I have used their Home Sweet Home stamp set to make the cards that I am sharing today. It’s at a perfect time too- we just had neighbors move in across the street this past weekend!

I adore the sentiments included in this stamp set. They’re so sweet, and I love the clean fonts next to the playful homes. I live in a region where the fireplace is used half the year, so its great that I can use the hearts to replace smoke clouds coming from the chimney. For my neighbor’s card, I built quick and simple scene in my MISTI to stamp, and picked blue Copic markers that matched their house to use. (I even stamped the cute sun, even though we probably won’t be seeing sunny days for a long while!) I picked a fun Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Spring pattern paper and Lawn Fawn Vellum to bring more color and texture to the card. Scrapook Adhesive 3D Squares were used to give the panel height, and I attached it to an A2 size card base. For the red house, I chose a fun pink pattern paper to back the scene with from Lawn Fawn Knit Picky Fall Petite Paper Pack. My final touch was adding shimmer and shine to the hearts, front porch tree, and suns, using a shimmer pen and crystal glaze.
