Pretty Pink Posh Christmas Shaker Card

Hello crafty friends! I have a fun and festive card to share with you today. I was inspired to use the color pink for my card after seeing a beautiful pink Christmas card by the talented Nicky Noo (blog link here). I pulled out a few pink Distress Oxides ink pads, Magenta glitter paper, and Raspberry Ice cardstock, and started creating.

I ink-blended Aged Mahogany, Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress Oxides to make the background. Then I splattered water on the paper, dabbed with paper towel, and splattered again with shimmer water. After the paper was dry, I used Joy shaker die to cut out the shaker window, and acetate to close the window front from the backside.

I wrapped Darice thin 3D strips around the window back, then filled the window with Holiday Shimmer Mix sequins. I closed the window back with another piece of acetate. I added foam tape to the rest of the panel back, then attached it to an  A2 card base. I stuck double-sided adhesive to the back of the magenta glitter paper, and die cut the joy window again. I took the adhesive backing off, and carefully attached it to the acetate window. I added the stamped, colored, and die-cut Happy Snowman, and the die cut Festive Holly. my final touch was adding Pink Blush and Watermelon jewels with Ranger Multi Media, Matte.
