Birthday Christmas Cards Winter

Trinity Stamps November Release

Hello friends, and thanks for joining this fabulous blog hop today as we all celebrate Trinity Stamps winter release! Get ready to see some fabulous inspiration from the design team. I’m so excited to share with you two cards I made for today’s event!

Card 1:

My first card is made with the new stamp set Season’s Greeting Silhouettes. I first masked the bottom of a 4.25×5.5 panel of Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock with Purple Tape, then used four Ranger Distress Oxide inks to blend the background: Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, & Black Soot.

Once the background ink was dry, I prepped the paper with an anti-static powder bag so I could heat-emboss. I arranged the silhouette stamps in my MISTI, then stamped them with VersaFine Claire Nocturne ink. While the ink was still wet, I poured Brutus Monroe Icicle Embossing Powder over the images, then melted with my heat tool. Next, I stamped a sentiment from another new stamp set, Joyeux Noel. I again prepped the  paper, stamped with Versamark embossing ink, and heat embossed with Brutus Monroe Alabaster White Embossing Powder. I splattered water onto the paper, and used a paper towel to dab the water off. Once dry, I did it again, this time with shimmer water to give sparkle. I used a white gel pen to add snow accents to the background and images. I finished up by adding shadows with Copic markers: C1, C0, C00. I added double sided adhesive to the back, and attached the panel to an A2 size card base.

Card 2:

This scene comes from the Rhino Bird Day stamp set. I love these sweet little birds so much! I kept this card really Clean and Simple. I stamped a laundry line near the top of a 4.25×5.5 Neenah Solar white 80lb card panel. I then stamped the hats onto the paper, and covered those hats with masking paper hats that I had fussy cut.

Next I stamped the birds under each hat. I removed the masking papers, and colored the scene with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment, trimmed the panel down, and attached it to fun foam for dimension. I used double-sided adhesive to adhere the panel to an A2 size card base. This is a great card to make in 20 minutes!
