It’s November 5th… Which means Pretty Pink Posh has a new release today! I’m sharing a card I made with the new Poinsettias stamp set.
I started with panel of watercolor paper that I stamped and heat embossed, using Brutus Monroe Gilded embossing powder. I then used the following Altenew watercolors to color the flowers and petals: Crimson, Rubellite, Grapevine, Warm Sunshine, Forest Glades, and Evergreen. Once colored and dried, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out with.
For the background, I used the large rectangle die from Stitched Notes die set to cut a watercolor paper panel. With a sandpaper block I sanded all sides so they were smooth. I used Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide inks to ink-blend in random spots on the paper. When the ink was dry, I stamped the sentiment from Decorative Ornaments stamp set, covered the sentiment with scrap paper, and flicked watered-down acrylic white paint and shimmer water all over the panel.
I arranged the flowers and leaves, and used foam squares to attach them to the panel. I used double-sided adhesive to attach the panel to fun foam for dimension, then glued it to an A2 size card base. I finished up with a few jewels from the new Holiday Jewels Mix.
Be sure to check out the Pretty Pink Posh Shop to see all the new goodies available today! Thanks for stopping by!
