Christmas Cards

Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Cheer

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing a card featuring new products from Pretty Pink Posh’s November release, as well as some past released stamps and dies.

For the background, I prepped a panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock with anti-static powder, then started stamping music notes from Caroling Critters Stamp set with Versamark embossing ink, and heat embossing with Brutus Monroe Alabaster White embossing powder. Once all the stamping and embossing was done, I ink-blended Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I did darkest to lightest, making sure to wipe the ink off the embossed notes often. Once I was happy with the panel, I flicked water droplets onto the paper and let the water set for about 15 seconds. I used a paper towel to dab the water away, I did the process again, this time using shimmer water for sparkle.

Next I chose the Large Scallop Oval die to die-cut the window. I used foam-tape on the backside to keep the frame attached to the panel.

I used Stitched Ornament Die to die-cut the ornament out of 110lb white cardstock. I softly blended Festive Berries Distress Oxide ink onto the bottom of the ornament. I stamped images from Winter Friends stamp set, then colored them with Copic Markers. The coloring was kept really simple: Sock- R59, R29, R27,R24; Heel and top of stocking- C1, C0; Bear- E11,YR20, E50, E13, R20 for cheeks and ears; Hat- G07, G05, YG01.

I used thin adhesive squares and glue to adhere the bear to the ornament. I stamped the sentiment onto black cardstock, and heat embossed with white embossing powder I added foam tape to the back of the ornament.

To assemble the card, I used Scor Tape to attach pattern paper to the front of an A2 size card base. Next I added the frame and ornament. I glued a thin strip of silver glitter paper to the top of the the ornament and the inside of the window for string, then used the large bow die from Twine and Bows die set to make the silver glitter bow. I added a single small Metallic Silver Jewel to finish the card.

That’s all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by. Have a blessed day, and a safe holiday weekend.
