Hi friends! I have a different kind of blog today. I am featuring 5 cards/ 1 kit. I recently received the December HedgeHog Hollow Subscription box, and let me tell you… so much CUTENESS!! I have included a lot of pictures in this post, and Copic colors that I used. there’s also a sales code at the bottom for this box too!
Every month there is different company feature, and this month just happens to be the spectacular Pretty Pink Posh. And the theme is all about Happy New Year!
When I saw the champagne stamp, I knew that was the first thing I wanted to color. I stamped the bottles all over a panel of Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth card stock (this is my favorite paper to Copic color on), and stamped with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. The colors I picked out are the following:
- Bottle: G28, G7, YG25, YG23, YG01
- Red Label: R59, R39, R37, R35
- Foil and Cork: E37, E35, Y26, Y23
- Gray Label: W5, W3, W1
- Champagne Wine Splashes: Y31, YR30
I colored in lines, and left an uncolored white line down the center of the bottles.I stamped the sentiment on black card stock, heat embossed it with white embossing powder, then backed it with gold glitter paper. I added Wink of Stella Shimmer and Tonic Crystal Glaze to the splashes, and clear sequins for the final touch.
My next card, I decided to stamp from the left top corner to the bottom right corner, using only the top hats and blow horns.
I used these hats and horns on several cards, the colors being the same.
- Top Hat: N8, C1, C0
- Blow Horns: YR 23, Y08
I used a T-ruler and black 03 Touch liner pen to draw lines on the horns. I added drops of Art Glitter Glue to the confetti squares, then sprinkled on Distress Vintage Platinum Glitter Dust. One the glue was dry, I tapped off the excess glitter and backed the panel to black card stock. I attached the panel to an A2 card base. I die cut and stacked the Happy New Year, and glued it to the card with Multi Media Matte adhesive. I added shimmer and Crystal glaze to the horns and hat lapels for shine, and glued on sequins to finish the card.
For my next 2 cards, I used a sentiment stamp to make my background. I used a light gray ink on the white card stock, and embossing ink and clear embossing powder on the black.
For the white card, I added a die cut hat and horns, and used the included silver mirror paper to die cut the words. I used sequins from the included mix on the card.
For the black back ground, I made a shaker card. I added my favorite PPP Penguins (from my personal stash) and added party hats and horns to them. I stamped the sentimenton heat-resistant acetate, and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
My final card, I used the included stencil. I prepped my work area, and taped down the stencil. I used Nuvo silver Glitter Paste to add the fire works.
I immediately cleaned the stencil and tools when I was finished. I set the panel aside to dry, and die cut/stacked the words. Once the paste was dry, I backed the panel to some fun foam and added it to an A2 size card base, then glued on the words with Multi Media Matte. I added clear sequins for my finishing touch.
Well, that finishes off my five cards, now its your turn to create. If you’re interested in these not-yet-released items, I encourage you to visit The Hedgehog Hollow shop. I adore all of these cards, but especially love the heat-embossed background with the sentiment stamp. And those penguins – adorbs!
These are absolutely beautiful cards Angelica! I can’t pick a favorite 🙂
