Hi everyone! thanks for stopping by… I have another set of Christmas cards to share. I know its getting late, but when I get a stamp like this Simon Says Stamp Outline Snowflake, I just can’t resist myself!
I started off by stamping the gorgeous Outline Snowflake background stamp onto 7 panels of Canson watercolor paper with InkOn3 embossing ink, then heat-embossed with Brustus Monroe Alabaster embossing powder. I taped the panels onto a clip board, and sprayed the paper heavily with water. I pulled out several colors of Nuvo Shimmer Powder: Solar Flare, Atlantis Burst, Blue Blitz, Violet Brocade, and Cherry Bomb. I softly tapped each bottle over the panels, letting the pigment powders drop on the paper like snow. I added pigments a little at a time. Once I was happy with the amount, I heavy sprayed the panels again with water to spread the colors out.
I used my heat tool to quickly dry the paper, and had a paper towel handy to soak up any colors that were pooling together too much. What was left behind once the papers were dry were these beautiful shimmery rainbows.
For the snowflakes, I used SSS Eliza snowflake die. I die-cut 3 snow flakes out of white card stock, and 1 snowflake out of Simon Says Stamp silver glitter paper. I stacked them together using Ranger Multi Medium Matte adhesive. I glued them onto the panels, then worked on the sentiments.
I used sentiments from SSS Tiny Words Christmas stamp set. I am in love with all the sayings in the set, and have used them on several different sets of cards. I picked out for sentiments, put them in my Mini MISTI, and prepped a piece of black card stocked with anti-static powder. I stamped the words with embossing ink (being sure not to stamp too hard since the wards are so small), then turned the paper around and stamped again. I heat embossed the paper with white embossing powder. Once the paper was cooled down, I wiped the paper off with a Swiffer wipe, and used the smallest SSS Sentiment Wafer Die to trim the words.
I added thin foam adhesive squares to the back of the sentiment strips, and added them to the middle of the snowflakes. I attached the panels to A2 size Neenah Solar White 110 lb card bases, using Scor tape for a strong hold.
I am so happy with how these cards turned out. I’ve already mailed them out, and I know they’re going to put a smile on the recipients faces.

these cards are beautiful. I usually like the traditional. Christmas colors but these are so festive that I am loving them. I think I will have to get these shimmery beauties.

Gorgeous backgrounds, gorgeous cards!
I have been making these for the last few days. They are SO MUCH FUN and each one is its own work of art. They are almost addictive. Since they are “snow” and not “Christmas” I feel comfortable making them into cards for a lot longer period of time. Thanks SO MUCH for sharing the idea and enabling the use of a stamp I already owned!

These ARE my Christmas colors. As Denise Potter said, they are wintery cards, and last for months (and sometimes more months)of use! Your cards are gorgeous!
