Hello everyone! Happy New Year to you all! I took this last week off and spent some much needed time with my family for the Christmas season. Our house has been filled with our loved ones, and lots of laughs have been shared. Our Christmas tree came down last night, and onto the new year we go. With a new year comes a new Pretty Pink Posh team… I have the announcement, as well as a card I made in celebration!
I picked the Hummingbird Thanks stamp set and coordinating die set, as well as the Hello Friend script die because this is what I purchased when I got to meet the lovely Paulina, owner of Pretty Pink Posh, last February. I was still very new to card making, and went to her company’s 4th birthday celebration party at a local stamp store. This was also the day I picked up my first Copic Marker. I am now obsessed with Copics and have not looked back.
I Copic colored these hummingbirds, and die cut the script words out of white card stock 3 times, stacking and glueing them for height and strength. I brushed the words with a shimmer pen, then added Tonic Crystal Glaze for shine.
To assemble the card, I used a Scallop curved border die to die cut Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes paper. I blended Broken China Distress Oxide ink onto an A2 size card base for some contrast before adding the pink paper with double-sided adhesive. I glued the words on, and adhered the birds with thin adhesive squares. I finished the card with a few Sea Glass jewels placed around the hummingbirds.
Now for the Design Team announcement… I am so excited to be working with these talented ladies for the next 6 months.
Be sure to stop by the Pretty Pink Posh blog to learn more about the team, and how to enter to win a $100 gift certificate to the Pretty Pink Posh shop!
That’s all I have for today. I have tons of fun projects to share very soon, so I encourage you to hit the subscribe button if you haven’t already. I will be back in a couple days with a sneak peek of PPP January release, and there’s a huge 3-day blog hop event next week celebrating Pretty Pink Posh’s 5th birthday celebration!
