On that note, lets start off with a Birthday card.

This sweet bear is from the new Cupcake Critters stamp set. I stamped him with Copic-friendly ink onto white ultra smooth card stock. I used a Copic Multiliner pen to draw clothes onto the bear: two lines for the collar, a line on each arm for sleeves, and a line at the bottom of the legs for shoes. I colored the bear with Copic colors E37, E35, E33, and E31, keeping the glow around the candle the lightest. His shirt I colored with BG10, BG13, and BG15; the collar BG78. The jeans I colored with B93, B95, B97; his shoes with N7, and N4. For the cupcake, I used Y23 for the wrapper, and added shade with V91. For the icing, I used R85, R83, and R81. I drew lines with the colors to build shade and texture, and left white space for extra interest. After I colored the hat (YR04, YR07, W-1, W00) and candle (Y13, Y17, YR04, YR07)  I went over the bear and the cupcake with a white gel pen to add highlights. I used the coordinating die to cut him out.

To finish the card, I used the rectangle from Stitched Notes die set to cut a stitched card front. Once I figured out where bear placement would be on the card front, I stamped the sentiment from the same Cupcake Critters stamp set, ink-blended a glow of Broken China Distress Oxide ink, and used warm gray Copic markers to color a shadow.  I backed the card front with craft foam, and attached it to an A2 size card base. I  added the bear using thin adhesive squares. My final touch was adding a few jewels from the Party Jewels Mix.

I am always excited to see what new flower stamp set Pretty Pink Posh releases. The new Crocus Flowers stamp set is beautiful! And it pairs perfectly with the new Simple Sayings: Courage stamp set.

The first thing I did with this stamp set was put all the flowers into my Misti and stamped the images onto ultra smooth card stock. I stamped the images out twice. For my first set I used Copic Colors V00, V01, V12, and V15 for the petals; and YG61, YG63, and YG67 for the stems and leaves. I also used Y21 and 0 Colorless Blender to add a little yellow to the middle of the flowers. For my second set of Flowers I went darker on the petals: BV000, BV00, BV01, BV04.

After adding white Gel pen highlights, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. for my card front, I blended Scattered Straw Distress Oxide ink onto the bottom right corner of the paper. I stamped the sentiment in the upper left corner, then started attaching the flowers and leaves. I glued the first layer, then added the second layer with thin adhesive squares.  I trimmed off the bottom edge, and added the card front to craft foam.

I attached the card front to an A2 size card base, and finished with a few jewels from the Sugar Plum Jewels Mix.
