The My Favorite Things Heart Art card kit is here, and its filled with love! There’s also a new stamp set by Stacey Yacula named Joyful Heart Bears, and I am ABSOLUTELY in love with the adorable bears!
How sweet are these two?? I decided to try my first attempt at no-line coloring with these images. I didn’t know where to start, so I went to YouTube for help. I found this informative video by Sandy Allnock that helped me figure out how to add texture and shading.
I stamped the images out in a light ink and used Copic Markers E31, E33, & E35 to color the first layer of the bears. I then went back and added shading and fuzzy texture with sharp (VERY SHARP!) Polychromo pencils. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
For the card front, I used purple tape to mask the bottom portion of the paper, and blended Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink. I stamped the sentiment, and used warm gray Copic Markers to add shadows for the bears. I attached the bears with thin adhesive squares.
Now on to the Heart Art Card Kit… I have a fun shaker card to share with you, using products from the kit, as well as a new free with $60 Die-namic…
I die-cut two rows of hearts with the new Heart Trio Shaker Window Die-namics. I closed 5 of the heart windows with Heart Trio Shaker Pouches, using 1/8 size Scor Tape. I added Pretty Pink Posh gems to the pouches, then closed them up with a piece of acetate.
I stamped a sentiment heart from Heart Art stamp set, and die-cut it with the Mini Heart Shaker Window and Frame Die-namics (Free with $60 purchase). I also die-cut a rainbow of heart window frames from the same Mini Heart Die-namics set. I added the card front to a piece of craft foam and attached it to an A2 size card base. I glued the frames around the windows, and added the stamped heart with foam squares.
That”s all I have to share for today. I will be sharing 2 more cards tomorrow from the card kit, so be sure to check back. Bye for now!
