It’s the beginning of a new year, and with that come new goals. One goal my Mother-in-Law has is sending handwritten letters to her family throughout the states. So I though I would help her out and make a quick set of notecards using her favorite color, purple.
I started by die-cutting her first name initial. I mounted that on a lighter purple square, then backed it with a Petite Scalloped square.
Next, I ran three shades of purple through my die cut machine in TE Garden Party embossing folder. I cut the now-textured paper into strips, and softly rubbed the coordinating ink pad over each strip to give the texture color.
I glued the strips onto toffee card bases, adding small strips of sugar cube card stock in between each strip for contrast. My final step was adding Glossy accents to each P.
These cards paired nicely with Sugar Cube envelopes, sold in the TE shop.
There’s no doubt Patricia will love these cards. I hope you have found some inspiration today to make your own set of notecards for yourself, or for a loved one. Be sure to stop by the fabulous Noriko’s blog to see the colorful set of cards she made using Taylored Expressions embossing folders! (An amazing rainbow of colors!)
Taylored Expressions sent me a beautiful handmade “made by” stamp. I was so shocked when I opened the package! The quality is fantastic, and the font is perfect. It is always wonderful to stamp my name on the back of my cards so my loved ones know it was handmade with love. They’re now available for a limited time to everyone in the Personalized Pop-Up Shop on the TE website!
Thanks for Stopping By!
