My Favorite Things March Release Countdown Day 5

The March MFT Countdown starts today and I am so excited to be part of the celebration!  There’s so many adorable products this month, and I can’t wait for you to see them all.  I have a card to share using the new  Fresh-Cut Flowers Background.  I kept this card clean and focused on the beautiful flowers.

I used the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color this gorgeous flower:

  • Flowers: 230 Pale Rose, 260 Deep Rose,
  • Leaves and Stem: 046 Mid Green, 043 Olive Green, 044 Deep Green
  • Shadow: 097 Pale Gray, 099 Cool Gray

I chose a sentiment from the new Anything-But-Basic Encouragement stamp set. I love the two fonts together. I trimmed the panel down, attached it to craft foam, and glued the panel to an A2 size card base.

That’s all that I have for today. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see more sneak peeks of the March release.  Everything you see this week will be available on Release Day, Tuesday, March 12 at 10am EST. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. This is a wonderful coloring! Did you use Canson Water color paper? I am not good at watercolors and find that I need more practice and feel that the paper used is important. I keep trying though ;)! Lovely work!

  2. Angelica, what a STUNNING card! Your coloring is exquisite, and I do love your watercoloring. Thanks for sharing the colors you’ve used. BTW, is the Fabriano hot or cold press? I’ve seen both. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing more of your work for this new release! Hugs!

  3. This is absolutely beautiful Angelica — welcome to MFT! Thanks for sharing your Zig choices too, especially for the shadowing! I love this image and I hope to get it and your card helps.

  4. I have always been intrigued with watercolor cards. I even tried a few attempts at watercolor myself, but these colors and shading that you have developed on this card are beautiful. I admire your abilities. Thank you for sharing this inspiration.
