Pretty Pink Posh March Release Blog Hop

Can you Believe Spring is almost here?? Pretty Pink Posh has really made me a happy girl with all of the new spring products now available! Butterflies, peacocks, magnolias… You can see all of the new products here.

I’ve been having so much fun creating with this release. I have a few cards to share, starting with one made with the fabulous Peacock Friends stamp set.

For this card, I stamped the two feather stamps in random order from one corner to the other. I used the following Copic colors to color the feathers:

  • Eyespot: E35, YR23, Y26, Y23 (Yellow inside) G07, YG25 (Green outside) B00, BG09
  • Pink Feathers and Dots: RV11, RV14, RV19
  • Purple Feathers and Dots: V17, V15, V00
  • Blue Feathers and Dots: BG09, BG13, BG10

After I colored the feathers, I wanted to add a little more interest, so I decided to add dots. I started with the darkest color closest to feather, changing to lighter colors while working my way out to the open space. This was a quick and easy way to add more color in a fun way. I trimmed the panel down to 4 x 5.25, added craft foam to the back for dimension, and attached it to an A2 card base. I white heat-embossed the sentiment onto black card stock, trimmed it, and added it to the card front with foam adhesive squares.

My next project to share is a set of three shaker cards. There’s three new beautiful confetti Mixes this release, so I made a shaker card showcasing each mix.

I did a white-on-white color scheme to keep the focus on the confetti colors. I cut three panels of white card stock to 4 x 5.25. I centered the large butterfly die from the new Bold Butterflies Dies onto the panels to cut out the windows. I added Stick-It Adhesive to the back of three squares of white card stock, and die-cut three more butterflies. On the backs of the panels, I closed the windows up with acetate and 1/8 size Scor tape. I wrapped Double-Sided Foam Stick Strips around the window. I added the confetti mixes into each window, then closed the back with another piece of acetate. Next I add foam adhesive all over the back of the panel.

I took the backing off the adhesive strips and added the panels to A2 size card bases. Next I added the butterflies with Adhesive on the backs onto the acetate window, then glued the body of the second butterfly to each card. I bent the wings up a little bit, and added three Ivory Jewels to each body for a finishing touch.
