Today I am sharing a set of clean and simple cards using one stamp set: Art Impressions Pand-tastic stamp set. I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to color them. I have really enjoyed using my Zig Markers lately, and they were a perfect coloring medium for these adorable pandas.
I stamped all the images with Versafine Claire Nocturne ink onto Canson XL watercolor paper. I colored the pandas with the following Zigs:
- White Fur: 91 Light Gray
- Black Fur: 10 Black, 95 Dark Gray, 91 Light Gray
- Cheeks: 28 Pale Pink
- Paws and Tongues: 230 Pale Rose
I started with the lightest areas first for each card front. I drew a thick Light Gray line, then blended it out with a #4 watercolor brush and clean water.
I used Black to draw a line where the darkest shadows are on the black fur, then Dark Gray to blend it out a little bit, and did the same again with Light Gray. I used my watercolor brush and clean water to blend to the lightest shade.
I used bright colors on the hats for added fun for this first card.
I used a mask on the front panda for this next card so I could have two images together.
My last card I kept very simple, the sentiment says enough. (LOVE!)
I love how this set of cards turned out. I hope I have given you ideas to make clean and simple cards from a stamp set in your collection. Thanks for stopping by!
