My Favorite Things Day 1 April Release Countdown

The last day is finally here… What a great release countdown, right?? Do you have your favorites picked out? I can’t wait to see all the projects that will be made with this release! I have one last card to share in the countdown. Remember all new products used will be available in the MFT Shop tomorrow, April 9 at 10am.

This little bunny is from the new Sweetest Somebunny stamp set. I will admit, I gasped out loud when I saw this set. I immediately knew I wanted to make a watercolored scene. I stamped the bunny with Milk Chocolate Hybrid Ink onto scratch paper, then stamped the image again (without re-inking the image) onto watercolor paper for a soft line. I made a quick mask for the bottom of the bunny, then stamped the grass on each side of the bunny. I used the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color the scene:

  • Bunny: 072 Beige, 065 Mid Brown, 028 Pale Pink
  • Grass: 046 Mid Green
  • Sky: 036 Light Blue

Once I was done coloring and the panel was dry, I used a Stitched Rectangle Die-namic to trim the panel down, then attached it to a yellow card stock panel. Since I didn’t have a light yellow card stock, I covered the yellow card stock that I did have with vellum to make the color lighter. I attached the panel to craft foam, then used Scor tape to add it to an A2-size card base.

That’s all that I have for today. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see more sneak peeks of the April release.  And remember, everything you’ve seen this week will be available tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9 at 10am EST. Thanks for stopping by!
