We’re at the halfway mark! Do you have your wishlist started? There’s a whole new round of fabulous products being shown today, including a new Pure Innocence stamp set.
Last month I was watching the fabulous Sandy Allnock on the MFT YouTube channel (video found here.). She inspired me to pick different skin colors. I watched her color, and listened to her words. I followed her lead, and changed the stamped image to what I wanted it to be. For this little girl, I wanted her to have more hair around her face, so I used a multiliner pen to draw in her hairline and a few ringlets before coloring her skin. I colored her skin using Copic colors E13, E15, E17 and then colored her hair with C5, C7, N8.
When I finished coloring the girl, I masked her legs and stamped a ground image from the Stacey Yacula Scene Builder stamp set. I gave her a light blue background, and picked a sweet sentiment.
My second card today features the FABULOUS Watermelon Slice Die-namics set.
A summer night on the back porch eating watermelon…so many wonderful childhood memories! This set made me squeal when I saw it! It took me back to those warm summer nights. I love coloring, but sometimes… I really LOVE paper piecing. And this set makes paper piecing so easy! Then there’s the Sweet Die-namics and Sentiments… my heart! They’re a perfect match for this watermelon slice. I used glue to piece the watermelon together, and did some white heat-embossing for the sentiment. I cut the word “sweet” out of the sentiment, and replaced it with the Sweet Die-namics. I brought a little extra color to the card using the Watercolor Stripes background stamp and Lemon Chiffon ink.
That’s all that I have for today. Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see more sneak peeks of the May release. Everything you see this week will be available on Release Day, Tuesday, May 7 at 10am EST. Thanks for stopping by!
