It’s time for the May MFT Birthday Project Challenge, and this month is all about candles! It’s just not a birthday celebration without candles, right? No matter the age, a lit candle on a birthday dessert brightens everyone’s smile!
For my card, I used the candles from the Birthday Cake Die-namics. I ink-blended a rainbow using Distress Oxide inks onto white card stock, then die-cut the candles. I trimmed a white card stock panel with a stitched rectangle Die-namics, then die-cut two rows of candles to make “windows”. I stamped a birthday sentiment from Party Penguins under the candles, then added foam adhesive to the back. I inlaid the colored candles onto the exposed adhesive in the candle windows. Lastly, I adhered the card front to an Orange Zest A2 card base to finish the card.
