Pinkfresh Studios May Essentials Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! I’m so excited to be part of the Pinkfresh Studio May Essentials Release Blog Hop. If you’re hopping along today, you should be arriving from the talented Alix Davis blog. A full list of the hop lineup is listed below, as well as details for giveaways on today’s hop!

This release has a great variety of shapes and frame dies that can be used in many ways. I used the gorgeous new Braided Circles dies for my first card. I am so in LOVE with this die set!

I used the perforated circles from the set to make my card front. To keep the card clean and simple, I chose white card stock, and made a simple alcohol ink panel to put behind the circles.

I added adhesive to the back of the white card stock and attached it to the inked panel. I picked a small sentiment from the Folk Hummingbird stamp set that fit perfect in the small circle. I attached the card front to an A2 size card base with foam adhesive.

For my second card, I couldn’t resist the hexagon dies from the Basic Label Frames. I tapped into my inner Laura Bassen and got busy with Distress Oxide Inks.

For this card, I taped two hexagon dies together to make the white frames. I used the larger hexagon from the frame to die-cut white hexagons, and the smaller hexagon die to die-cut card stock I had ink-blended a rainbow on. I glued the frame onto the white hexagon, then glued the inked hexagon inside the frame.

I splattered black ink onto white card stock, then added the hexagons. I trimmed the panel at an angle and attached it to teal card stock. I stamped and white heat-embossed another sentiment from the Folk Hummingbird stamp set before adhering the panel to a card base with foam adhesive.
