For today’s card, I decided I wanted to do no-line coloring. I use MFT Natural Hybrid Ink to stamp the Poppies Background onto white card stock.

I picked coordinating colors for the flowers to match the colors in the card kit. I started by coloring the first layer of color and shading to the flowers and stems with Copic Markers, then used super sharp Polychromos pencils to finish the fine details. This is my favorite way to color, and I do it quite often. Sharp pencils really help build depth in an image. A quick side note- I always color with a piece of the same paper off to the side so I can test all of my colors together before coloring my main image.

When I finished coloring, I added a strip of Poppy card stock and a strip of Black and White Stripe pattern paper for some fun contrast. I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the Sweet Friends stamp set, and die-cut it with a Skinny Strips Die-namics. I adhered it to the card front, then added the card front to an A2 size card base.
