There’s been a lot of buzz about the new Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Background, and I completely understand why. When I first got my hands on this stamp, I was thrilled! This stamp and coordinating die has made making sentiment strips a breeze. I put together a set of cards using heat-embossed strips over stenciled backgrounds.
I made watercolored backgrounds using TE liquid watercolors and TE watercolor card stock. I added a drop of color onto my Waffle Flower Water Media Mat, sprayed it with water, and smooshed the paper into the pigment.
I picked three different TE stencils, sprayed the backs with iCraft Pixie Spray for a temporary hold, and attached them to the dried watercolor panels. I used a pallet knife to spread a thin, even layer of Moonstone Glitter Paste over the stencil. I put the panels aside to dry.
To assemble the cards, I used foam adhesive to attach the trimmed panels to Sugar Cube card stock, then adhered them with double-sided adhesive to Toffee card bases. I die-cut three hearts and added them to the cards with thin foam squares. My final step was adding the sentiment strips.
Head over to the TE blog for more card making ideas. That’s all that I have for today. Thanks for stopping by!
