My Favorite Things June Countdown Day 1

PrintThe last day is finally here… there’s one more round of product sneak peeks before tomorrow’s release. I have an interactive birthday card to share today… using the new Fairy Good Friends stamp set. When I was this stamp set, it just sang to my heart!

My two year old daughter loves her “pretty dresses”, so of course I had to give this sweet fairy a pretty dress too! I colored her with Copic markers, and used my favorite yellow color combination for her dress and bow: Y11, Y13, Y15, V91. I used Jelly Roll white and glitter gel pens to add sparkle and highlights to her dress, then colored her shoes and wand with the glitter pen. I brushed her hair with a Nuvo Shimmer Pen, then die-cut her with the coordinating Die-namics.

I used the Interactive Swing Die-namics to give the fairy movement. I die-cut all the pieces needed out of white card stock, then pulled up a tutorial on the MFT YouTube Channel to follow. (Video found HERE.) I used the Mini Cloud Edges stencil to ink-blend pink clouds onto pink card stock. I adhered everything together, and added the fairy to the swing with glue. I even taped a penny to the back of her just like Stephanie did in the video, and she swings back and forth so good! I picked a birthday sentiment from the stamp set to gold heat-emboss on the same pink card stock, die cut it a Skinny Strips Die-namics, and added it to the card with thin foam squares.
