I have a set of Father’s Day cards I made for my husband’s little cousins to give to their dad. The whole family is crazy about dogs, so I knew exactly what I was going to do when I saw the new Puppy Love Die-namics.
These puppies are really easy to put together – there are even indents on the face and belly to show where to glue the smaller pieces! I picked three colors of card stock for each puppy. After I glued everything together, I used Spun Sugar Distress ink to add blush to the cheeks, and added highlights with a gel pen.
I die-cut a flower for the girl puppy using the Stitched Blooms Die-namics. Since I used Tickled Pink card stock in the flower, I decided to stamp the Watercolor Stripes Background with the same ink.
For this little guy’s background, I used Cornflower ink. Once I inked the stamp, I used a paper towel to dab off some of the ink to achieve a denim look. I embellished both cards with die cuts made with the star and heart from Bundle Of Baby Clothes Die-namics. I gave each puppy a sentiment banner to hold and then attached the card fronts to A2 size card bases.

How very sweet! It’s projects like this that got me into crafting: making sweet things for kids. Also, this is a great example of same-but-different for small ones. I always have to take the fairness fairy into consideration when I’m making cards for my nieces. Thanks for sharing!
