Hello friends! I’m so excited for today’s Pinkfresh Studio June Washi Release Release Blog Hop. If you’re hopping along today, you should be arriving from the talented Ashlea Cornell’s blog. A link to the full list of the hop lineup is listed below, as well as details for giveaways on today’s hop!
This release has taken easy card-making to a whole new level. I am in LOVE with the beautiful washi prints, and have made them my main focus for today’s blog.
My first card features the Painted Floral Washi. I opened this washi roll, and started making panels on white card stock. There’s three panels repeated on all of the new 11 yd washi rolls, each panel being 4.25 x 5.5. This bouquet was my instant favorite. I used the coordinating Floral Cluster Die to die-cut the image, then used foam adhesive to layer it on top of another exact panel. I added the panel to an A2 size card base, and attached a small heat-embossed sentiment from the Folk Hummingbird stamp set with thin foam squares. To finish the card, I added a few pink jewels from the Essentials: Jewels Mix.
I used smaller clusters from the same roll for my second card.
I stamped and gold heat-embossed a sentiment from the new Eucalyptus Fantasy Stamp Set onto white card stock. I then used the two small Essentials: Braided Circle Dies to add detail around the sentiment. I backed the panel with gray card stock, then added a gray die-cut Essentials: Pretty Frames 2 with thin foam strips. I picked out two small washi floral clusters, and die-cut them with the coordinating Floral Elements dies. I added a few jewels to finish the card.
The Eucalyptus Fantasy Washi has beautiful green tones that match perfectly with gold.
I stamped and heat-embossed a sentiment from the Eucalyptus Fantasy Stamp set before splattering a small amount of gold paint onto the panel. I added two layers of die-cut eucalyptus swag to the corners, using thin foam squares for the top layer. I attached the panel to a card base, and finished the card with jewels.
For my last two cards, I used one panel from the beautiful Rainbow With Splatter Washi.
I used the Adore Alpha Die Set to die-cut Thanks from the rainbow panel. I attached the panel to craft foam, then added the gold skinny outlines and white letters. I stacked the letters 3 times for dimension.
I used the rainbow letters for this card. I kept this card clean, using white card stock for the skinny outlines. I stamped and heat-embossed a sentiment from the Floral Cluster Stamp set for both cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope I have helped with ideas for this fabulous release. Your next stop on the hop is the fabulous Alix Davis.
