For today’s card, I used the included Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders to make a bright and colorful card.

I used the powders in a more concentrated way than I have for the past two days. I stamped the flowers onto watercolor paper with black ink and heat-embossed them with black embossing powder. I tapped the Coral Crush powder included in the kit onto the flower petals and then sprayed the petals with just enough large droplets of water to make the powders burst in the embossed lines. To stop the colors from spreading more, I quickly dried the flowers with my heat tool. I used the same technique with the background – I tapped a good amount of Tropical Teal and Jelly Bean Green powders onto watercolor paper, sprayed the panel lightly with my Distress Spray bottle to make large water droplets, and then quickly dried the panel before the powders could blend into each other.

I trimmed the watercolor paper with a Stitched Rectangle STAX, attaching it to my card base with Scor-Tape. I used the Flowers In Bloom Die-namics to die-cut the flowers and attached them to my card panel with foam squares. Since the colors are pretty bold, I used a small heat-embossed sentiment from Sweet Besties stamp set to balance the card.
