Trinity Stamps 1 Year Anniversary Blog Hop

What an exciting day for Trinity Stamps! I am so happy for this wonderful company, and for the owner Taniesa, who is one of the most genuine women I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. Today’s blog hop celebrates this anniversary with Taniesa, as we get to show off her fabulous brand new release!

Theres something about birthday cupcakes that makes me crazy happy! They’re so pretty, delicious, and full of love. I used the new Sweet Surprise Stamp Set to make this pretty cupcake. I stamped the image using Antique Linen Distress Ink for some no-line watercoloring on Fabriano Extra White Watercolor paper. I colored the cupcake with Tombow Dual Brush markers, starting with the teal frosting, in order to match the Trinity Stamps logo color. I used a #6 round paint brush and water to move the pigments.

After I finished the first layer of color, I went back for a second layer, this time focusing on highlights and shading. I added a shadow under the cupcake and a last minute candle to finish the scene.

For the background, I taped a panel of Canson XL watercolor paper to a clip board, then sprinkled Nuvo Shimmer powders onto it. I sprayed the panel lightly with water, and let the colors move around. I dried the panel with my heat tool once I was happy with the color placement. I trimmed the panel down, and attached it to a card base. I added the cupcake with foam adhesive to finish the card.
