My Favorite Things July Birthday Project

It’s time for the July MFT Birthday Project Challenge, and this month is all about birthday bouquets! MFT has a great variety of floral images and Die-namics, and I chose one of my favorite flower stamps for today’s card.

I stamped and white heat-embossed Roses All Over Background onto watercolor paper. I taped the paper down to a board, and heavily sprayed it with water. Next I soft tapped on several Nuvo Shimmer Powders onto the paper: Atlantis Burst, Violet Brocade, Blue Blitz, Cherry Bomb, and Solar Flare.

I used a stitched rectangle STAX to cut a panel of white card stock, then used an A2 Rectangle Frame Die-namics to cut out the center. I attached the panel on top of the colored roses. I cut out two more frames, then stacked and glued them onto the panel.

I added the panel to an A2 size card base, and finished the card with a white heat-embossed sentiment from the Greetings And Salutations stamp set.

Be sure to head over to the MFT blog for more design team ideas, then enter your candle birthday card for a chance to win. Thanks for stopping by!
