It’s time to start the countdown to the My Favorite Things August Release! Today’s sneak peeks includes the new Carousel Stamp Set, and the fabulous Carousel Die-namics.

This carousel! Seriously, I actually gasped out loud when I saw this Die-namics set. I die-cut white card stock with the dies, then used purple tape to reposition the cuts back into their negative spaces. Because these cuts are so delicate, I used my Polychromos pencils to color them. I made sure my tips were sharp at all times. This is such an important step when adding details to small areas.

After I finished with the carousel, I moved on to the horses. I stamped the horses with MFT Natural Hybrid Ink, and used pencils again to color them. Once I finished, I die-cut them with the coordinating dies, then started assembling the cards.

I cut the carousel top and bottom in half so I could make two cards. I used the Card-Sized Confetti Stars Stencil Set to make the backgrounds. I framed the backgrounds with die-cut frames I had die-cut and stacked three times each, then mounted them onto red card stock. I used foam squares to add the carousel and horses. My last step was adding a heat-embossed sentiment to each card.
