Thinking Of You

My Favorite Things August Release

Release Day is finally here!  The August My Favorite Things Release is now live and available for purchase! All of the new products you’ve seen these past 5 days can be found HERE

I made a Halloween card to share today, using the amazing Stacey Yacula’s new stamp set, Spooktacular Friends.

What can I say… Stacey Yacula really outdid herself with these sweet Spooktacular Friends! I can’t choose which one is my favorite, they’re all so darn cute! I had a blast coloring them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out, then started on the background.

To start the background, I used a large circle die to die-cut masking paper. I placed it on watercolor paper, then blended Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks around the circle. Once I was finished blending, I spattered water droplets onto the paper, then dabbed them up with a paper towel. I splattered white paint onto the paper for stars. I removed the mask from the moon, then added water and Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink to the moon with a paint brush for texture.

To finish the card, I used the new Tucked-In Turf Die-namics to die-cut black card stock, then sprayed the card stock with Glitter Dust for sparkle. I attached the turf to the card front, then tucked the characters in the die-cut areas. I added a heat-embossed sentiment, then attached it to a card base with foam adhesive.

Thank you so much for joining me for the MFT And Friends August Release launch! You can find more inspiration for today’s release on the MFT blog. That’s all for today!
