Autumn/Thanksgiving Thinking Of You

The Greetery Get Cozy, Get Crafty August Release Reveal: Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of this amazing release! Yesterday’s reveal made a lot of people yearn for autumn, and today will be no different. Betsy’s love for the fall season is so apparent in today’s products.

Let Us Gather And Give Thanks… this sentiment, these fonts… I can’t get enough! They’re so perfectly perfect! I used the new Harvest Home stamp set and dies for this card. This stamp set comes with several different layered images, as well as accessory stamps, to build beautiful scenes. I used the three-layered barn and 4-layered leaf to set the scene for this card. I accessorized with the fence and windmill. The sentiment was stamped in two steps (I really wanted GATHER stamped in red!). I mounted the card front onto red card stock, and adhered it to a Kraft card base. I used foam squares to attached the leaf and barn, then filled in the empty spaces with stamped and die-cut leaves and berries from the Autumn Sketches stamp set (shown yesterday).

This next stamp set stole my heart the moment I saw it.

Ok, I am going to start sounding like a broken record… but seriously, how stunning is this stamp set?? A big treat was shared on the The Greetery’s blog yesterday:

“Moving forward, all multi-step or layered sets will come with a printed, full-color stamping guide! You can store these with your sets to use as a handy reference.”

And I did exactly that. I used the guide and color combination to stamp this wreath. I expected this wreath to be a practice run, but once I finished stamping, I realized I didn’t want to stamp another wreath. I wanted to color this one! So I pulled out complimenting Polychromos pencils, and added highlights and shading to each image. I die-cut the wreath when I was finished with both the outside and inside die. I also used the inside die to cut a window into kraft paper. I stamped outline leaves and berries from Autumn Sketches onto the kraft paper with a soft ink for a subtle background. I stamped the beautiful sentiment onto a card base, added a few black ink splatters, then attached the panel above it with foam adhesive.
