Autumn/Thanksgiving Halloween

Pretty Pink Posh August Release Blog Hop

Sunflowers, Pumpkins, and Halloween…… are you ready for a new PPP Release?? Today is Day 1 of a two-day Pretty Pink Posh blog hop. If you’re arriving from the talented Megan Quinn’s blog, you’re in the right spot. You can see the entire release HERE. A full list of the hop lineup is listed below, as well as details for giveaways on this two-day hop!

Sunflowers… the newest floral edition in the PPP shop. I love how big they are, and I wanted to make them into a bold card!

I started this card by making the background. I used several Nuvo Shimmer Powders to achieve this bright turquoise: Blue Blitz, Storm Cloud, and falling leaves. I used a flat watercolor brush to distribute the powders evenly. I wanted a rich, shimmery background.

These flowers are from the new Sunflowers stamp set. I stamped and white heat-embossed the flowers onto watercolor paper. I used Solar Flare and Golden Sparkler Nuvo Shimmer Powders, a paintbrush, and clean water to color the flowers. Once the flowers were dry, I used the coordinating dies to die-cut them.

My next step was using the sunflower dies to cut into the background. I ran the background through my die-cut machine several times with the dies staggered around the panel. When I finished, I glued the panel to a card stock panel.

After I glued the flowers into their die-cut windows, I trimmed the panel down, and attached it to a card base with foam adhesive. I added a gold heat-embossed sentiment from the Autumn Wreath Stamp Set to finish the card.

I used a bear from the new Bear Friends stamp set for this clean and simple card.

How cute is this little guy?! I stamped him and the tree trunk onto white card stock with Milk Chocolate Hybrid ink. I used The following colors to color the images: Bear- E41, E42, E43, E44, E47, R00, R000; Tree trunk- E33, E35, E37, YG61, YG63, YG67. I used the coordinating dies to die-cut them.

I masked off the top center area on a panel of white card stock with masking tape. I used a blender brush and Granny Smith dye ink to softly blend a small area of ground. I moved the tape to cover the grass and did the same for the sky, using Cookie Monster ink. I trimmed the panel down, and attached it to a card base with foam adhesive. I used thin foam squares to add the colored images. and a stamped and gold heat-embossed a sentiment from the Bear Friends Stamp set.

That’s all I have for today – thanks so much for stopping by. Your next stop on the hop is the talented Gemma C.
