The Greetery Get Cozy, Get Crafty August Release Reveal: Day 4

Hi Friends! Welcome to the last reveal day before tomorrow’s release. I know there are some excited crafters ready to start creating with Betsy’s new products. She has put so much love into this release.

Today is a cozy reveal day… starting with the Cozy Cup stamp set.

Coffee… the most important time of the day! Seriously though, I live in the Seattle area, and coffee is a lifestyle here. Coffee shops are everywhere, and I just love the smell and atmosphere every time I visit one, especially in the fall! This stamp set takes me immediately to my favorite coffee shop. I picked Raspberry Sorbet and Mulled Wine to stamp the cup, matching the interior of the shop. I stamped the background with the sprig included in the stamp set, using Grout ink. I trimmed the panel with the largest Crimped Frame Die, then stamped the delicate sentiment with a crisp black ink. I added a second cup with my dear friend Janey in mind, she’s always my coffee date! I positioned her cup on top of a coaster I die-cut, using the new Cozy Cup Coaster die. This die has two parts: the shape itself with an open middle, and an inner square that die-cuts and embosses the quilted pattern. I taped the dies together to die-cut honey card stock. I adhered the coaster to the top corner, trimmed it, then attached the panel to a kraft card base.

Now it’s time to introduce the newest edition to Katie’s Cuties: Gettin’ Cozy.

I colored this cozy trio of friends with Polychromos pencils, and used the coordinating die to die-cut them. The die is so detailed! I love the open space between the yarn and the cuties.

I used the inside die from the Cozy Cup Coaster die set to make a center quilted background. I ran the die twice through my die-cut machine; first time on one side, second time on the other side, but I overlapped the die just a bit over so I could slide the die back into the holes already cut. This gave me a perfect quilted strip. Next, I masked the strip, and blended Natural and Kraft inks over the new layered Knit Wits stencils to finish the background.

I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment onto Jellybean card stock, trimmed the card stock down, and used a fishtail die from the Sentiment Suites Basics Die set to die-cut the bottom of the sentiment.
