Pinkfresh Studio August Release Blog Hop

Hello friends! I’m so excited for today’s Pinkfresh Studio August Release Release Blog Hop. If you’re hopping along today, you should be arriving from the Pinkfresh Studio blog. A link to the full list of the hop lineup is listed below, as well as details for giveaways on today’s hop!

This release has so many beautiful new products! I picked a few to share with you today.

This is the new Falling For You stamp set. There’s a great variety of stamps included to make an outdoor scene, including a tent, sun, and clouds for a day scene. I stamped and white heat-embossed this night scene onto watercolor paper before coloring it with the following Pinkfresh Studio Liquid Watercolors: Key Lime, Emerald City, Sky Blue, Sapphire, Lavender, Espresso, and Licorice. I am fairly new to liquid watercolors, and found that this was a fantastic stamp set to learn how to color and shade, since the images have a good amount of space to work with.

I trimmed the panel down once it was completely dry, and attached it to white card stock I had die-cut, using the largest Essentials: Horizontal Stitched Rectangle. I attached the panel to a kraft card base, and added a sentiment with thin foam squares to finish the card.

My Next card is a clean and simple card, focussing on one of my favorite Dr. Seuss quotes.

This sentiment comes from the new Nothing Compare to You stamp set. I stamped and white heat-embossed it on a watercolor background I made using Espresso, Key Lime/Emerald City, Sunshine and Clementine watercolors. I mixed Espresso in with with all of the colors for rich tones. I attached the panel to a kraft card base, then framed it with a white frame I made using a die from the Essentials: Pretty Frames die set.

My last card features the beautiful Leafy Branch Die.

This die is one of my favorite products from the release. I ink-blended three watercolor panels with the following Distress Oxide inks:

  1. Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick, and Tattered Rose
  2. Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge, Dried Marigold
  3. Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive, Squeezed Lemonade

I die-cut the branches from the inked panels, then die-cut three more branches from a panel of white card stock to make the cardfront. I backed the panel, then in-laid the branches and leaves with glue. I attached the panel to a kraft card base. I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the new Floral Vase stamp set onto brown card stock, trimmed it, and attached it to the card with thin foam squares.

I hope I have given you a few ideas for this fabulous release. I’m so excited for your next stop on the hop, my talented friend Ashlea Cornell.
