Did you get the chance to see the new Pinkfresh Studio August Release? There’s so many new items! Today I am sharing two cards featuring the new Leafy Branch Die. The moment I had this die in my hands, I knew I would be using it a lot! It’s beautifully simple and clean, and can easily match any themed card.
I started with ink-blending. I blended trios of Distress Oxide inks in fall colors to make three backgrounds:
- Squeezed Lemonade, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint
- Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge, Dried Marigold
- Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick, Tattered Rose.
I die-cut each panel, and kept the positive, negative, and inside leaves. l then die-cut 8 more leaves from white card stock. I backed the negative panels with card stock, and inlaid one white Leafy Branch into the negatives. I used glue to inlay leaves from different panels, then glued three more layers of die-cuts on top of the Leafy Branch.
I stamped and white heat-embossed two sentiments from the new Floral Vase stamp set onto brown card stock. I used the coordinating die from the Floral Vase die set to die-cut Sending, and trimmed the smaller words before attaching them all the top of each Leafy Branch.
I used the largest rectangle from the Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die set to die-cut two panels of white card stock. I attached the panels to kraft card bases, and used double-sided tape to add the Leafy Branch panels. I finished the cards with a few clear crystals from the Essentials: Crystals Mix.
Even though the red panel didn’t make it through the process, (I ripped it unfortunately!), I was still able to use the leaves. I simply love these colors together.
You can read all the details for another card I made using the inked branches from this project at my stop in the Pinkfresh Studios August Release Blog Hop.
I hope I have given you new ideas using the new Leafy Branch die. That’s all that I have for today. Thanks for stopping by!
