It’s Day 3 of the MFT September Release Countdown. There’s new product sneak peeks on the MFT Blog today, including the new Floral Focus stamp set.

I stamped this beautiful image onto Fabriano Artistic Extra White Watercolor paper with Antique Linen Distress Ink for no-line watercoloring. I mixed several Mijello Mission Gold watercolors together, then started painting. I let the paper air-dry between each layer. Once I was finished painting, and the paper was completely dry, I used the coordinating Die-namics to die-cut the image.

For the background, I swiped Pumice Stone Distress Oxide ink onto my media mat, sprayed with a little water, then smooshed watercolor paper into the ink. I used my heat tool to dry the panel. I used Pumice Stone ink again to stamp the new Brush Splatter Background. I dabbed off ink from the left top corner of the stamp before stamping. I wanted most of the background interest behind the flowers. I trimmed the panel with a stitched Rectangle Die-namics, then started assembling the card.
I added the flowers to the panel with thin foam squares. I trimmed off the edges, then attached the panel to a card base with foam adhesive. To finish the card, I stamped and gold heat-embossed a sentiment from the new Bitty Thanks and Gratitude stamp set onto white yardstick. I trimmed the sentiment, then attached it to the card with foam squares.

Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog today to see more sneak peeks, and check out the inspiration and ideas from the design team. Everything you see this week will be available on Tuesday, September 3rd, at 10am EST. Thanks for stopping by!
