MFT & Friends September Release

Release Day is finally here!  The September My Favorite Things Release is now live and available for purchase! All of the new products you’ve seen these past 5 days can be found HERE

Birdie Brown’s Sweater Weather On Safari… I am so in love with this cute giraffe! I shared a card a few days ago showcasing the BB Sweater Weather In The Woods stamp set. (found here.) I still had my Copic Markers out, so I stamped and colored this little guy for a clean and simple card. I used the following Copic Markers for the sweater and die-cut stripes: Green: YG91, YG95, YG97, YG99; Yellow: Y21, Y23, YR23, E33; Burnt Orange: E47, E09, E07

The inlaid colored stripes were made with the new Skinny Stripes- Horizontal Die-namics. After I had die-cut the stripes, I trimmed the white card stock with a stitched rectangle die-namics, then attached a smaller panel of paper behind it. This allowed me to glue the stripes back into place. I stamped the sentiment before attaching the panel to a card base with foam adhesive.

To finish the card, I used the heart die from the Bundle Of Baby Clothes Die-namics to die-cut Persimmon card stock. I attached the giraffe to the card with thin foam squares, then added the cute heart above the coffee cup. I added a bit of shimmer and Crystal Glaze for my final touch.

Thank you so much for joining me for the MFT And Friends September Release launch! You can find more inspiration for today’s release on the MFT blog. That’s all for today!

  1. There’s nothing that says autumn like a critter in a cute sweater! Great card design! Love the colors!

  2. I never thought I could “need” a die cut of stripes, but you have given me some great ideas to use that. Very cute card!

  3. Very sweet card! Love the colors you used and the way you grounded the giraffe with the Skinny Stripes!

  4. He’s a very handsome giraffe indeed all bundled up for Winter. Just love the sentiment and the stripped background.

  5. I would never have thought of making the stripes on the paper match the stripes on that cute giraffe’s sweater. Such imagination!
