Pretty Pink Posh Boo- 2 Ways

Can you believe it’s almost time for Halloween cards? I have two cards to share with you showcasing a few of PPP’s new products.

I started off by making two stenciled backgrounds. For the first background, I used the Spider Web stencil. On white card stock, I ink-blended Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, and Black Soot Distressed Oxide Inks over the stencil. Once I was finished blending, I added a thin layer of Nuvo Moonstone Glitter Paste before removing the stencil. I set the panel aside to dry. For my second background, I applied a thin layer of Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the Star Stencil onto black card stock. I set that panel aside to dry also.

To finish this first card, I used the BOO die from the Boo Coordinating die set. I place the die in the middle of the web, then ran it through my die-cut machine. I set aside the letters. I added acetate to the back of the panel to close the window. I wrapped thin foam strips around each letter, then added orange and black Confetti Stars in each letter window. I closed the backs of the letters with another piece of acetate, and added foam adhesive to the panel. For some added interest, I die cut boo from the card base too. I lined up the letters, and attached the panel to the card base. Now you can see through the card. I added the inside pieces of each letter with sticky tape back in place to finish the card.

The second card was really easy to put together.

I warmed up my MINC Foil Applicator Machine, and ran the black card stock through the machine with a piece of Pewter Foil (color side up) on it. Once through, I peeled the foil off. Now the Transfer Gel stars were nice and shiny. I trimmed the panel down, then added it to a card base. I die-cut BOO out of white craft foam, glued the stenciled letters on, and attached them to the card base with Multi Media Matte. I stamped and white heat-embossed the sentiment from the BOO stamp set onto black card stock, trimmed the sentiment down, and attached it with thin foam squares to finish the card.

I hope I have helped you with ideas for Halloween cards, and trying out these products. That’s all that I have for today. Thanks for stopping by!
